Maayanadhi Tamil Full Movie Review:
Set against the backdrop of Mayiladuthurai, Maayanadhi is the tale of a doting father and her daughter, a brilliant school student, who aspires to be a doctor. How fate separates them because of the latter’s relationship with an auto driver forms the crux of the story. For Anbarasan, a widower, his world revolves around his daughter Kauslaya (Venba). A practical and caring father, Anbarasan doesn’t have an iota of doubt on Kausalya even when his brother tells him that she has started going out with someone. He trusts only his daughter and doesn’t mind going to any extend to fulfill her desires. She, too, holds him in high regard and discusses about everything under sun to him.

But little did he know that she was moving close to Senthil, (Abi Saravanan) an auto-rickshaw driver, who takes her to school everyday. The two of them decided to take their relation to the next level. An upset Anbarasan reacted in a way she could hardly digest. How she faced it follows the rest of the story. What stands out in the narration is the way the father-daughter bond was portrayed. The relation between Kausalya and Senthil wasn’t too convincing. Abi Saravanan was apt in his role and Apukutty, as his friend, does justice to his character. Venba and Aadukalam Naren come up with a good performance, but a better script would have helped them more.
